Leadership Laboratory (LLAB) is a fundamental component of the Air Force ROTC program, designed to bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application. Each Aerospace Studies course has an associated LLAB, providing cadets with hands-on leadership experience in an immersive, structured environment.

LLAB is a dynamic, hands-on experience that prepares cadets for the challenges of officership by developing their confidence, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
Why LLAB Matters
LLAB is a mandatory requirement for all cadets pursuing a commission in the U.S. Air or Space Force. Held once a week for 2 to 3 hours, it offers cadets a progressive leadership development experience in a structured training environment.
Through LLAB, cadets gain practical leadership experience by operating within an organized cadet corps, where they develop essential skills such as decision-making, teamwork, and adaptability. The program provides insight into the roles and responsibilities of junior officers, often including Officer Development Training at Air and Space Force installations across the United States.
By engaging in hands-on leadership exercises, cadets enhance their ability to lead, communicate effectively, and prepare for the demands of officership.
