Our 95 for 95 visits are coming to a close, but we couldn’t end the tour without visiting a few amazing alumni in Chattanooga, Tenn., including Blake Shoemaker ’08!

Dr. Shoemaker is currently the pharmacy site manager at Genoa Healthcare. Genoa Healthcare provides care to patients with complex health and behavioral issues, and Dr. Shoemaker and his team work daily to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to all who seek their services.

Even more impressive, after his innovative and outstanding care during the COVID crisis, Dr. Shoemaker was recognized with the Sages of Clinical Services Award, a prestigious recognition program for UnitedHealth Group clinical professionals serving in a variety of roles. The award recognizes individuals who use their skills to inspire change, advance health care for consumers and demonstrate UHG’s values. We are so proud of this alum and are grateful for the opportunity to share his accomplishment with our broader community. Well done, Dr. Shoemaker!
