Samford’s mission to nurture student development intellectually, ethically and spiritually is fostered through student organizations, global engagement and community service. Students engage their faith in the classroom and around the world as illustrated by these highlights.

Sponsored by the Frances Marlin Mann Center for Ethics and Leadership, the university’s annual day of service, Samford Gives Back, engages an average of 750 student and employee volunteers in service to the community.

Orlean Beeson School of Education students and faculty traveled to Beirut, Lebanon, to provide training for teachers serving refugee children with special needs.

The School of Health Professions students participate in medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and India where they provide services through clinics in impoverished areas.
