Joann Bashinsky Physical Therapy Scholarship
The late Joann Bashinsky was one of Alabama’s most revered philanthropists and was a beloved friend and benefactor of Samford University. For many years she supported students in Samford’s physical therapy program, and this scholarship continues her legacy.
Sloan and Joann Bashinsky Scholarship
As a result of generous giving from the Bashinsky family to Samford University, this scholarship fund was established to benefit students enrolled in the School of Health Professions. The late Sloan Y. Bashinsky was the founder and former CEO of Golden Flake Foods. His late wife Joann Bashinsky was one of Alabama’s most revered philanthropists and was a beloved friend and benefactor of Samford University.
Brown Family Foundation Scholarship
In honor of Rod and Paula Hovater, the John and Rosemary Brown Family Foundation established this scholarship fund to strengthen the recruitment and retention of outstanding students pursuing degrees within the School of Health Professions.
Margaret L. Johnson Scholarship
Named in honor of Margaret L. Johnson who helped establish the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSDS), this scholarship helps ensure the education of students within the CSDS program. Dr. Johnson spent over 30 years practicing as a speech pathologist and training students in communication sciences and disorders. The scholarship was established to honor Dr. Johnson’s legacy of service while providing financial assistance to help the students she so dearly loved to serve.
TherapySouth Annual Scholarship in Physical
Therapy Made possible through generous contributions from TherapySouth, this annual scholarship is awarded to a qualifying student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
