Doctor of Physical Therapy
For those interested in the deepest grounding in the science of physical therapy, the Doctor of Physical Therapy is the most intensive study of our profession available. This three-year program has a heavy emphasis on science and service. Students learn to work with other health care professionals, making evidence-based decisions that best serve their patients.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
Samford’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is designed for students who seek to answer the calling in their lives to serve others through health care and medical practice. The program was awarded accreditation-provisional status from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) in April 2019.

We do this through faith-based academic course work and clinical placements designed to help you reach your career goals.
Fast-track Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology
The fast-track program in speech-language pathology provides an opportunity for qualified students to complete a BS and MS in five years instead of the six-year traditional path. Students who are accepted into the fast-track program complete undergraduate courses their first three years and begin graduate coursework in the summer following their junior year. Only entering freshmen may apply for acceptance into the fast-track program. Throughout their fast-track path, students will be mentored by peers and faculty.
Fast-track Doctor of Physical Therapy
The fast-track program in physical therapy that provides eligible students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science in exercise science and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in just six years. Incoming freshmen may apply for the fast-track program and must meet specific progression standards to remain in the program. Acceptance to the fast-track program as a freshman guarantees admission into Samford’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program if progression standards are met.
