Jon serves as Media Center Manager for the Marketing and Communication Department at Samford University. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2021 and made his start in broadcast television at WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi, as a production assistant and then a newscast director.

Before joining Samford in July 2024, he was part of the team at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama, working as a news photographer. He currently resides just outside of Birmingham with his wife.
