Reginald Calvert was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1999 and, in addition to lecturing at Beeson, serves as the pastor of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama, where he has served for 26 years. Calvert previously taught Christian Worldview at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina and taught Advanced Homiletics at Huntsville Bible College and at Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College. Calvert is married to Karla McPherson Calvert, Esq., and they are the parents of two daughters and have one granddaughter.
