Biography

Lindsay Pitts is from Madison, Mississippi, and moved to Birmingham in 2014 to attend nursing school at Samford University. She graduated from Samford's Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing in 2016. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Children's of Alabama, where she continues to work as a staff nurse. Her nursing education career started as a part-time clinical associate at Wallace State Community College in 2020 and Samford University in 2021. After earning her master's degree in nursing education from the University of North Alabama, Pitts joined Samford's Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing as a full-time clinical faculty member in January 2023. As an educator, she enjoys mentoring future nurses and being part of their journey. Pitts enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two rescue dogs outside of work.
