Recently, assistant professor of law Maryam T. Stevenson has had two new articles on immigration reform published by the Catholic University Law Review.
Her summer 2024 article “Explaining the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Stalemate in Congress” analyzes and explains why immigration reform has been unsuccessful over the past 30 years despite bipartisan congressional and presidential support.
And, in her fall 2024 article, "What Congress Needs to Break the Immigration Reform Stalemate,” Stevenson offers a policy prescription that could overcome the challenges and obstacles to reform outlined in the first, and provides a policy path forward for policy elites.
