Michael E. DeBow, the Stephen Everett Wells professor of municipal law, was a guest speaker for Oglethorpe University's pre-law students on April 20. In the discussion titled "Can the President Transform a Loan into a Grant?" DeBow spoke to the group about the cases argued before the Supreme Court in February about the Biden Administration's plan to "forgive" about $400 billion in federal student loans.
