What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?
The community is the best aspect of Cumberland because everyone is willing to help, and everyone is friendly.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I love the smaller aspect that Cumberland has to offer, and it felt like home even from my first steps onto campus.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
Birmingham provides a great opportunity for improvement in the legal realm. There are some of the best law firms in Birmingham that allow students to engage in the big corporate side of law or the small-to-mid-size feel. The balance is what makes Birmingham one of the best legal communities in the U.S.
I like to go out for dinner with friends and family while enjoying one of the best “foodie” cities I have ever lived in!
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
Everyone moves at their own pace. Comparison is the thief of joy, and though you may not be on the same timeline as someone else, that is completely okay. Law school will be a challenging time of your life, but you will never be more prepared for this moment than you are right now.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I am still undecided, but I would love to work on the transactional side of law while gaining meaningful connections and performing important legal work.
