Kimberly Merritt joined Cumberland School of Law as the trial advocacy program coordinator in March 2023.
She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated magna cum laude at Miles College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She received her Master of Public Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was inducted into Delta Alpha Pi honor society. Merritt has worked as a career development specialist and earned a certificate in Foundations of Career Navigating and Coaching.
Merritt is very active in community affairs that affect the children and youth. She serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama Junior Board. She is the assistant director over the youth for the New Era Progressive Missionary Baptist State Youth Convention. She is also a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
