Mary Yakimowski, professor and director in Orlean Beeson School of Education’s educational leadership program, is passionate about many things, musical theatre, traveling, landscaping, but perhaps most noteworthy is her passion for her students and for research.
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is one of the United States’ foremost national research societies. AERA strives to advance knowledge about education, to encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and to promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good.
Each year, AERA’s annual meeting hosts hundreds of innovative researchers across the field of education for a variety of opportunities to share and disseminate the findings of top professional and researchers in the field.
Yakimowski’s stewardship of important ideas, research, and students at the top of their game led to her involvement in several events and research topics presented at this year’s AERA annual meeting.
