Computer Science majors Claire Ritchie (senior) and Chris Walling (sophomore) took first place at the fall conference of the Mid-Southeast chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) held in Gatlinburg, TN this past fall. Their presentation, “Pictures in the Head? A Computational Model of Mental Imagery,” was judged the best of 26 presentations given by students representing a total of 18 colleges and universities. Claire and Chris were reporting on their summer research done under the direction of Dr. Steve Donaldson.
