Laura Reyes is a soprano from Puerto Rico. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from The Curtis Institute of Music. She has been awarded Best Songwriter of the year by ASCAP. She became a Semi-Finalist at The Metropolitan Opera National Competitions in New York. Laura was Resident Artist at The Bavarian Opera House under maestro Kent Nagano. 

She has worked at Point Loma Nazarene University, Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music, Sacred Heart University, University of Puerto Rico and many other institutions in the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico. Laura is very happy to be part of the Samford Academy of the Arts faculty and of the Birmingham community.
