The nurse anesthesia program is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia/Educational Programs (COA), 222 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068; (847) 655-1160, http://home.coa.us.com. The program's next review by the COA is scheduled for May 2015.
Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University is conducting an accreditation self-study related to the quality and effectiveness of its baccalaureate, master's and doctoral nursing programs and its post-graduate APRN certificate. As part of this accreditation review process, the School of Nursing will host an on-site evaluation November 3 through 5, 2014, by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Current students, alumni, faculty, health care professionals, and other interested parties are invited to submit comments on the program's effectiveness and qualifications for accreditation status to CCNE. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, and at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the School of Nursing. Please note that all comments must be signed and received by CCNE no later than October 4, 2014, in order to be considered.
