Samford Students Chosen As White House Interns
Two Samford University business students have been selected to serve as interns in the White House, Washington, D.C., during the fall semester.
Allison King of Pensacola, Fla., and William Peek of Roanoke will work in the Office of Presidential Personnel. The office is responsible for recruiting, screening and recommending qualified candidates for Presidential appointments to federal departments and agencies.
King and Peek were chosen on the basis of their interest in public service, politics and law, and their prior success in academic internships. Both are business management majors at Samford.
During their internships, the students will also complete individualized course assignments and research projects with Samford School of Business professors. Their work at the White House will conclude on Dec. 5.
