Samford University and Alagasco will help dedicate a Habitat for
Humanity house in Irondale Monday (MAY 6) at 3 p.m.
Ground was broken March 4 for the four-bedroom home. A total of
72 Samford students, faculty and staff worked about 700 hours to complete the
project. The new homeowners, David and Janet Woodard and their three sons, also
contributed many hours of "sweat equity" in the form of labor on the
house.
Samford and Alagasco partnered to provide labor and funds to support
construction of the house. The house is Samford's second Habitat project. Last
year, the school provided funds and labor to build a home in Fairfield.
