Samford University will host a free public screening of the 2013 film The Dream is Now
, followed by a panel discussion on immigration 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in Brock Forum, Dwight Beeson Hall. The film, by Oscar-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, shares the stories of undocumented youth and their families in the United States. The event is sponsored by Samford's Latin American Studies Scholars Program, University Ministries and Department of World Languages and Cultures in partnership with the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice and the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama.
