Office of Financial Aid

Welcome to the website for the Samford University Office of Financial Aid. It is our goal to assist all future and current students in exploring every option available for successfully financing their educational pursuits and dreams. The Office of Financial Aid provided access to over $100 million in financial assistance during the 2013-2014 academic year. In the fall of 2013, over 90% of undergraduate students and over 80% of graduate students accessed financial aid resources available through Samford. We are pleased to provide these funds as an investment in your success while a member of our vibrant educational community at Samford University.

I trust you will find our site to be helpful and informative in answering your questions as they relate to financial aid at Samford. Within the site you have access to information concerning our various scholarship programs for all students funded by the University and by many Samford alumni and friends. You will also be able to obtain information on federal aid, including need based grants, work study, and loan options. You may also access your financial aid award letter by logging on to your student web portal. Forms, policies, applications and many other items may also be viewed within this site. You may also access a net price calculator. This calculator will give you an idea of what Federal Financial Aid you might receive. Please take advantage of the calculator and other opportunities located within these web pages.

If you find that you have questions that are not answered here, please go to our staff listing on the FAQ page and contact your adviser through their email address listed there. You may also call us, email us or stop by to see us. Our general contact information is listed below. Two other websites I recommend you consider visiting are the Financial Matters site and the Bursar's Office site. Furthermore, please review to this consumer information document for important information.
