The staff of Disability Resources (DR) welcomes you to Samford University. The purpose of DR is to facilitate reasonable and appropriate academic accommodations to applicants and college students with disabilities. The information presented is designed to help you get started with DR should you wish to request academic or physical accommodations as an applicant, undergraduate or graduate student at Samford University.
Registration with DR
Registration with DR is a separate process from applying for admission to Samford University. Interested students should contact DR at 205-726-4078, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or by mail at 800 Lakeshore Drive, Box 292276, Birmingham, Alabama 35229.
The Admission office handles all applications for undergraduate admission to Samford University. Admission standards are described in the Catalog and must be met by all students, regardless of disability. Applications for admission are available from the Admission Office. Online applications are welcome at: http://admission.samford.edu/applynow.aspx.
Graduate admissions are processed by each graduate course of study – School of Business, Beeson Divinity School, School of Education, Environmental Management program, Cumberland School of Law, School of the Arts, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, School of Health Professions, and McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Students with disabilities should send their documentation to DR instead of the Admission office. Documentation sent to other offices on campus does not guarantee that the DR office will receive it.
