The Samford University Community Service Council will hold a “Cardboard Campout” Wednesday-Thursday, Nov. 18-19, from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. to raise awareness for homeless people and others with few resources.

“Students are encouraged to come and sleep out on the quad in a cardboard box, and to bring a blanket or jacket to use for the night that could then be donated to a local shelter,” said student Molly Jayne, Community Service Council president.

“We hope this will be an eye-opening experience for Samford students,” she said.
